Presents Time

The Pink Tarha ladies received gifts yesterday.

What are these?

It was so unexpected that Shoegarfreeruby and Sundrenched who were present at the gift-giving ceremony moment eyed the small boxes as, well, small boxes, like afterthought freebies of some sort, until they were opened. Mary threatened to return the box pronto after a friend joked that it was given by a secret admirer. Eyecandy, who was on leave, did not know what was happening so she hurried to the office after reading the Pink Tarha's FB status.

Will you... what?

No, they're not proposals for four. They're gifts from our biggest fan and supporter (and benefactor, hahaha)... our big boss, our "KUYA!" (Yes, as in literally boss in the office.) He gave us... tsaraaan!

The new Ipod Shuffle in vibrant pink!

With special engraving to boot.

He said this is for the good feedback and reviews the blog has been getting. This is also for our past, present, and future birthdays. LOL. (We're actually wishing for the Ipad next year, hehe!) We're tickled pink. :P

For us, this is a huge motivation and inspiration to go back to writing and blogging more often. No more excuses to not update the blog. Diba, Pink Tarhas?! ;)

Thank you very much, Kuya!

A Shoe Addict?

It's funny to see that our blog lacks shopping entries when we've been pretty busy during the sale season. So in honor of the category that propelled this blog, here's one for you.

Seriously, what is it with women and shoes? I'm not one to explain because I'm one of you girls who think that we can never have enough shoes. Ever! :P

And because I'm one shoe fiend (Shoegarfreeruby being the queen of shoes among the Pink Tarha ladies), I need to think of a way to keep them all in my room. I'm sure a lot of you girls are thinking about your shoe spaces too. Rooms for working ladies here in Saudi Arabia are small or shared with someone else.

At first, all my pairs were kept in my closet and then as the sale seasons come and go, I bought more shoes than my closet space can accommodate. They overflowed into a corner of my room and I've heard the ladies tell me to get racks for them. I didn't do that, of course, because I'm convinced that I can still squeeze all inside my closet. I pondered on getting clear shoes boxes but they are not available here. So what to do?

During my visit in Riyadh Gallery, I found one solution (tipped off by a friend):

SHOES UNDER

It says "as seen on TV" but I doubt it. It seems like a lousy version (imitation?) but I'm okay with it. I need it. So I bought a pack which can hold 12 pairs for SR20.

Space Saving Shoe Organizer

It's flimsy and the compartments are a little bit too small for my heels but I still packed 'em in. My 4-inch gladiator sandals occupied two slots. Flats will fit this container better. It only holds 8 pairs of my heeled shoes but the good news is, it slides under my bed with ease!

So if you're such a shoe addict like the Pink Tarha ladies and you dont have anywhere else to stash your newly-acquired shoes, here's one way to organize them (and to hide 'em from your husbands, lol).

Scent-ses

For the Pink Tarha ladies, the Eid vacation starts on Tuesday. So expect us to whine about the time crawling ever so slowly tomorrow. We cannot wait to have a short break from work. We're still thinking of what to do, or we'll just do nothing at all. :P

Since we're avoiding food posts for Ramadan, we're bringing in entries of our favorite stuff (ergo, not food) for now. Enter the perfumes and scents we love.

Shoegarfreeruby's favorite perfumes are femininely floral and fruity:

RALPH by Ralph Lauren for Women
DIAMONDS by Giorgio Armani

Eyecandy goes for sweet and sexy:

LIVE LUXE by Jennifer Lopez

HEIRESS by Paris Hilton

Sundrenched loves crisp and clean easy-to-wear scents:

GREEN TEA by Elizabeth Arden

LIGHT BLUE by Dolce & Gabbana

Maryhadalittlehump is into something light, fresh, and sparkling:

BRIGHT CRYSTAL by Gianni Versace

What's your favorite scent? And where do you buy them? Parisian Gallery and Debenhams are good and convenient stores to buy guaranteed authentic perfumes. You'll also find perfumes in Batha and Manfouha for relatively cheaper prices. You can even buy testers. Just be cautious of fakes and imitations though.

Tell us about your favorite perfumes! We'd like to try other fragrances once we emptied our bottles. :)

*Photos of perfumes were found via Google search.
