A friend of the Pink Tarha ladies will celebrate her birthday this weekend. The party's theme is floral. It was pegged as "Petal Attraction" at first but Eyecandy groaned at the title. Petal might be mispronounced as "pei-tal" over and over. Irritating, lol.
Most of the girls invited to the party are having a hard time looking for a floral ensemble that will not make them look like walking curtains and tabletops. Most floral fabrics look old and vintage after all. Not that vintage is bad (Shoegarfreeruby loves vintage!).
Sundrenched is having a hard time completing her get-up while Eyecandy has already chosen a dress she bought on a whim last year (one of the SR250-worth of clothes that was bought in less than 10 minutes... record time?!).
In lieu of our Collage Week, here's a Polyvore mish-mash that will bring a spring in the ladies' step:
Also, S envisioned her ensemble through Looklet, a site suggested by the birthday girl. Here's what she initially wanted to wear:
But while looking at several photos, S realized she already wore this style in a party (her own!). She might just change some items but she'll eventually end up with this style again. The headband looks the same to what E is wearing today... only in purple, and very much floral (a gift from R). :P
Anyway we'll be featuring what we wore to that birthday party next week. We'll muster up enough flower power! Stay tuned for E's unveiling too. She's wearing a floral dress. ;) See yah!
6 had something to say:
I'm sure you guys have checked out H&M already, but if you haven't, their garden collection is AWESOME!!! Bought 2 tops and a dress the day it came out. Their prints do NOT look like Kurtina at all and the organic cotton feels great on your skin!
Can't wait to see what you would be wearing!
E's unveiling...hmmm...something to look forward to next week.
Petal Attraction is kinda cool, but I thought the color will be limited to green (or shades of green). Buti na lang naging floral. Un nga lang whenever I think of a floral attire, laging sumasagi sa isip ko ang term na 'kokoor' fashion.
Kukurtinahin, for short. Hehe. Peace.
@Savvy: We love H&M's The Garden Collection. Unfortunately, the dresses we wanted from that collection did not reach this desert. The other items are all beautiful but we can wait 'til they go on sale. Thanks for reading our site! :)
@Nebz: Yeah, that's why it's hard to pick floral clothes because most of the fabrics and floral patterns used resemble curtains and tabletops. We'll make it work though. We have to! :)

your outfit does not mean to be floral printed. you can opt for a plain dressy dress and accessorize with nice flower brooch, or a head band with big flowers available at too many accessories stores nowadays. your shoes might be floral printed too. it will be cute and fashionable.
The choice outfit of the celebrant looks cute :) I really like that it has the right amount of floral on it to keep it up with the theme, and how everything else is subtle and plain to give more emphasize on the floral skirt :) Really really cute!
@Yellow Bells: You are indeed right. We can also use floral accessories and shoes to show flower power! :)
@Kay: Thank you! :)
