Be Bright With GAP

Who doesn't know the clothing brand GAP? This American multinational clothing brand has been in the fashion scene since 1969 (who can argue with a history like that?). When you want to look casual chic and effortlessly sophisticated, GAP is the go-to store. Having started with signature blue jeans and cotton shirts for younger generations, GAP has expanded into the huge, popular brand that it is today maintaining its contemporary presence in the market and continuously appearing to a unique discerning audience.

GAP Saudi Arabia, under the management of Middle East fashion retail giant Fawaz Al Hokair, has opened two new stores in Riyadh: one in Salam Mall and one in Kingdom Mall. Their Spring 2013 was recently launched in their Kingdom Mall branch.

GAP has been called out for its uniformity but with their Spring 2013 Collection, I think uniform and plain will no longer have a place in conversations about GAP. Their BE BRIGHT campaign oozes energy and optimism.

The GAP Be Bright Campaign Launch in Kingdom Mall
Gap's Spring 2013 global marketing campaign titled "Denim Evolved" introduces the new 1969 Skimmer Jeans for women and the new 1969 Slim Canvas Jeans for men. Wait, what? New yet 1969? That got me confused at first but the ladies of GAP Saudi Arabia explained that the original jeans that came out in 1969 was revamped according to the changes of time. So the GAP jeans of 1969? It's better than ever today.

Choose your hue!
The 1969 denim offerings are now available in luminous spectrum of colors, including new indigo washes and prints. Can you imagine a rainbow? That and more shades! More like a pantone palette. Because what's spring and summer without colors, right? GAP also updated the fit, length, and style patterns (from solids to prints). More options to choose from!

Sabina, stylist of GAP, walked us through the different looks of GAP's Spring collection both for men and women.

The HIGHLINE is geared towards the working class with its collection of conversational pieces in great color dynamics. Think hot corals and oranges grounded by navy!

Didn't know corporate and casual can go together. Love the pastel and the blazer!
Ruggedly casual for men
The TRIBECA is more for leisure with its sporty and athletic influence punctuated by a very strong, cohesive palette. Icy mint, neon lemon yellow, turquoise jay? Spells spring and summer all year round!

You'll get second and third (and more) looks with this ensemble!
The MATCHPOINT is for a preppy vibe. The striped tees and tanks with pop contrast is perfect for the chill crowd.

Preppy, like you're still attending university forever! ;)
Hi there, effortlessly handsome!
The RUE ST. HONERE is for the classy fashionista that wants to keep a very cool yet modern look. Dots are the highlights of this collection which can be found in GAP's dresses, pants, cardigans, and woven tops.

Simple yet looovely!

The CENTRAL PARK Collection is my favorite. It's suited for the crisp after-winter weather of Riyadh. The laid back attire doesn't upstage the sophistication and elegance that New Yorkers carry on their way to work or to the grab a coffee and read the newspaper in the, you got it, park.

My fave look on the look book! Layering!
So put-together and gorgeous!
Get your favorite looks from GAP. You're free to mix and match pieces from the various collections and incorporate your personal style to them. After all, GAP is here to offer us cool, modern designs fit for every one, no matter what time of the year it is.  GAP has, indeed, become brighter. ;) ~ Sundrenched
